I have taken notice that in old digital cameras, exceptional detectors help to {focus|concentrate|maintain focus|target|a**** automatically. Those sensors connected with some video cameras change in contrast, while others use a beam associated with infra-red (IR) light, especially in low lighting. Higher specs cameras from time to time use a blend of both techniques and likely have Face Priority AF where the camera can ‘See’ any face as you concentrate only on that.
